Athletic Injury Prevention Workshop

This could be the most important gathering of athletic injury prevention experts for every high school and middle school athlete, school district athletic staff member, coach, and parent volunteer in Chautauqua County!
Join Dr. Brian Mata of Lakeshore Orthopedic Group along with neurology physician specialists to learn the most up-to-date prevention techniques and treatment options for common sports-related injuries such as concussion, ACL rupture and others.
In a hands-on workshop format, Brooks' athletic trainers will demonstrate how student athletes of all ability levels can safely prevent injuries through proper stretching, hydration, and nutrition, as well as proper field of play contact techniques.
Brooks’ physical therapists will also be on hand to discuss and demonstrate an effective rehabilitation program designed for ACL tears, as well as other return-to-play therapy for young men and women.
All students must be accompanied by a parent, coach or other responsible adult. Signed parental consent must accompany registration materials for minors. Athletes will participate in drills and should wear appropriate workout attire and footwear.
