The services in the CICU include treatment for: shock, arrhythmia, cardiopulmonary arrest, respiratory failure, cardiac failure, renal failure, coma, metabolic and endocrine disorders, actual or suspected myocardial infarction, major complex operative procedures, critical illness, patients during post anesthetic period. All patient care services are provided under the direction and control of an attending physician.
