Brooks Memorial Hospital Sleep Center

Our sleep center is a state of the art facility staffed with kind and caring, licensed healthcare professionals. The center has been open since the year 2000 during which we cared for 100 patients. Over time our center has grown and is now open 5-7 days per week and we care for over 450 patients per year.

Sleep disorders contribute to an increased incidence of motor vehicle accidents, occupational accidents and places patients at increased risk for hypertension (high blood pressure) heart disease and stroke. The staff at our sleep center is committed to help our patients through the diagnosis and treatment of their sleep disorder.

You or your physician may make an appointment by calling Brooks Memorial Hospital at 716-363-3933. Please remember that you will need a referral from your physician prior to scheduling an appointment with us.

Preparing for your Visit

We will mail you a two-week sleep journal and questionnaire that should be filled out two weeks prior to your clinic visit. This information will help our staff diagnose your problem.

If an overnight stay is required, patients will spend the night in one of our luxurious, newly decorated and private bedrooms fully equipped with a queen size bed, recliner and cable television. Testing will be performed by technologically advanced equipment to monitor such vital signs as breathing, heart and brain activity, blood oxygen content, and body movements throughout the night. The procedure is painless and should not interfere with your sleep. Check-in time for testing is 8:30 p.m. and discharge is no later than 6:30 a.m.
