Dialysis Services at Brooks Memorial Hospital
Brooks Memorial Hospital provides Hemodialysis treatments for patients with acute or chronic kidney failure as well as Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD) services. Our recently renovated 14 bed unit is comfortable and relaxing and includes state-of-the-art equipment such as our new Phoenix dialysis machines, heated massage chairs, and flat panel TVs at each station.
The unit is staffed by highly qualified professionals who have received specialized training in dialysis and who genuinely care about their patients. "I’ve been to other Dialysis units when away,” said one recent customer, “but none compare to the personalized, caring treatments I receive at Brooks.”
The Dialysis Unit at Brooks also offers pre-dialysis education for patients who are in Stage III/IV kidney disease. These individualized sessions are offered free of charge and provide the patient with information about all treatment options as well as dietary and medical insurance information they may need should they become dialysis patients.
Along with their caring environment, this unit has recently been recognized for their top ranked Computerized Documentation System as well as their ESRD Network of NY Five Diamond approach to patient safety. The unit is open six days a week from 6 am until 8 pm and also provides emergency care as needed.
