Breast Cancer | Expectant Parents | Mending Hearts | Prayer | Grief | Multiple Sclerosis Support GroupsBreast Cancer Support Group Meet with others who are living with cancer, either personally or through someone they love, to talk about how it has affected your life and what you are doing to stay positive. This group is open to patients and their families and friends.
Diabetes Support GroupThe group is geared to support those who have or know of someone with diabetes. New members are welcome. meets: last Mondayday of each month at 6:30 pm.
Expectant Parents Classes Whether you’re a new parent or already have children, it’s never too late to learn what to expect during pregnancy and the early years of your new child. Classes are designed for women in their first trimester. Sessions run for 5 weeks and are offered on Tuesday evenings throughout the year. Class size is limited, so you must call Brooks Memorial Hospital at 363-3085 to register. There is a fee for this program.
Mending HeartsIf you or someone you love has been faced with some type of heart disease, there is a support group available. Mending Hearts is for patients, partners, and health care professionals who help people deal with the emotional recovery from heart disease. Generally meets the second Tuesday of each month ( March, April, May June, August, September, October and November) at 7:00 pm. Brooks Memorial Hospital Prayer GroupMeets Thursday evenings at 8:00 pm in the lobby. This group visits patients and recites a "Prayer of Healing" to the patients. This group is non-denominational and is open to anyone who would like to join in this prayer group.
Grief Support Group A Grief Support group will now be meeting at Brooks Memorial Hospital first Wednesday of each month from 7:00 - 8:30 pm. New members are encouraged to attend.
Multiple Sclerosis Support Group Will meet the last Tuesday every other month beginning in Jan. 2010 from 6:-7:30pm. Open to all who are living with this disease and any other interested parties. Group will not meet in December. |
