Brooks hosted a grand opening celebration for its NEW Employee Lactation Room, made possible through the generosity of Chautauqua County’s “Breastfeeding Works” mini-grant program and Univera Healthcare. As part of an overall plan to enhance Brooks as a breastfeeding-friendly workplace, the new lactation room features two private areas for equipped with refrigerators stocked with water and healthy snacks, along with televisions, comfortable seating, and cheerful décor. New policies and procedures at the hospital will also help support and encourage Brooks employees who wish to continue breastfeeding their babies after returning to work.
