Our hospital emerged in 1898 through the generosity of the Brooks family based on values of compassion, service and commitment to the healthcare needs of this community. We continue that tradition to this day by embracing our I-CARE values which are intended to guide our interactions and decision-making process at all levels within the organization.
At a ceremony during Hospital Week celebrations on May 13th, fifteen Brooks staff members were recognized as 2014/2015 I-CARE Ambassadors. Nominated by their peers, these employees exemplify the hospital’s values of Integrity, Known within their departments as role models, they each have a way of doing ordinary work extraordinarily well. C ompassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.
"I just treat people the way I like to be treated", states Glendora Lane, Food Service Attendant (FSA) in Nutritional Services. Such as simple idea. Somehow, though, Glen and her cohorts have a way of making the simple seem special.
I-CARE Ambassadors will receive a framed photograph with a customized engraved plaque to commemorate this achievement. Congratulations to each of these extraordinary employees for helping to make Brooks a special place.
